Digital X-Rays

Keeping updated X-rays in your record helps ensure that we can always provide optimal care, and collaborate with specialists more effectively, if necessary. Digital X-rays are enhanced versions that are captured using digital imaging instead of traditional radiographic methods. Digital radiography is several times safer, emitting up to 90% less radiation, and the images are produced almost immediately on a chairside monitor.

Intraoral Cameras

A digital intraoral camera can be a used during your routine dental checkups, allowing us to gain a better view of your teeth and oral tissues during your examination. The tiny digital camera is situated at the end of a small, very thin wand, which we can use to maneuver the camera around as we check hard-to-see areas of your mouth. The images from the camera are projected instantly onto a chairside monitor for easy viewing. We try to use digital impressions vs. traditional impressions to make our patients more comfortable.

Conebeam CT Scans

CT stands for computed tomography and describes the use of multiple digital cone-beam X-rays to create 3D digital scanning that allows us to design computerized models of your teeth, jawbone, and other oral structures. We may use cone-beam CT scans to gain a more accurate diagnosis of a suspected issue or to help enhance the quality and precision of your cosmetic or restorative treatment planning. For example, CT scans are often used for planning dental implant placement.

Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous oxide is commonly referred to as laughing gas and is an injection-less, inhalable sedative that’s mild enough for patients of all ages. Nitrous oxide helps produce a calming, relaxing feeling that can help alleviate heightened anxiety or make your treatment faster and more comfortable. It’s administered through a mask that allows you to inhale the nitrous oxide in your nose and immediately exhale it through your mouth.

STA Wand

STA stands for single-tooth anesthesia and is an advanced technology that utilizes a special handheld device, or wand, to guide the injection of local anesthesia. The STA Wand is known for producing much less discomfort during the application of anesthesia and contains numbness to a more precise area. The Wand is especially beneficial for patients who have a fear of needles.

Laser Dentistry

For some soft-tissue procedures, such as cosmetic gum contouring, we may suggest utilizing our advanced dental laser, which offers more comfortable treatment and healing than many traditional treatment techniques. Some dental procedures may be accomplished with significantly more comfort and highly satisfactory results when performed with the help of an advanced dental laser. After a careful examination, we can help you decide if laser treatment is right for you.

Same-Day Crowns

Restoring a tooth with a custom-made dental crown used to be a multi-visit process. Your tooth is prepared and measured during the first visit, and your dental crown can be permanently bonded to the tooth during your next visit, after it’s been crafted at an off-site dental lab. However, at our office, we can complete the entire process in-office, designing, creating, and placing your same-day crown all during a single visit.
