A dental crown is named after the top part of your tooth, also called a crown, and is designed to mimic its size, shape, and appearance. Also known as a cap, the restoration is bonded in placed over your damaged tooth, protecting it while restoring its strength and appearance. Traditionally, placing a crown used to require at least two visits—one to prepare and measure the tooth, and another to place the crown after it’s been crafted by a skilled technician. Using our advanced, E4D CAD/CAM technology, we can eliminate the wait by creating a same-day crown to fix your broken tooth.
CAD/CAM, which stands for computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing, is a digital imaging, measuring, and milling system that can design and create a customized dental crown all in one visit. The system takes careful, highly detailed digital measurements of your prepared tooth, then sends the measurements to an onsite milling machine that automatically creates the restoration from the digital measurements. By allowing us to provide same-day restorations, the technology allows us to restore your tooth faster for optimal results.
If you break a tooth, then we may be able to fix it in just one day with a same-day dental crown.
